Festival Rules

Guidelines for a Safe and Enjoyable
Festival Experience

  1. Attendees should treat each other with respect and kindness at all times. Any behavior that could be considered discriminatory, such as racial or sexist remarks, will not be tolerated. Violators will be warned, and repeated violations could result in expulsion from the festival.

  2. Attendees are not allowed to bring any illegal drugs or weapons to the festival grounds. Anyone caught violating this rule will be immediately expelled from the festival and reported to the authorities.

  3. Glass containers are not allowed on the festival grounds. This is both for safety reasons and due to the demands of the landlord. Any attendee found with glass containers will be asked to dispose of them in the designated trash cans.

  4. Children are welcome at the festival, but guardians are responsible for their safety and behavior. Every attendee should be aware of the presence of children and act kindly and carefully around them. Children must be supervised at all times and should not be left unattended.

  5. Dogs are not allowed at the festival due to safety reasons and at the request of the landlord. We kindly ask all attendees to respect this rule and not bring any dogs to the festival site.

  6. Attendees are responsible for disposing of their own trash in designated bins. Anyone caught littering or damaging festival property will be asked to leave the festival grounds.

  7. Attendees should keep the shower and restroom facilities clean and tidy after using them. Please respect the privacy of others while using the facilities, and report any damages or issues to the festival staff immediately.

  8. The camping area is designated for rest and sleep, and no loud gatherings or parties are allowed in this area. Attendees are encouraged to respect the need for quiet in this area, especially during nighttime hours. The infield/hall is designated as the main gathering and party area for the festival.

  9. Harassment, sexual or otherwise, will not be tolerated at the festival. This includes unwanted physical contact, verbal abuse, and any other form of harassment. Anyone found engaging in such behavior will be immediately expelled from the festival and may be subject to legal action. If you experience any form of harassment, please report it to festival security or organizers immediately.

  10. No racial discrimination, no right-wing views. The Backyard Skull Festival is a diverse and inclusive event that welcomes people of all backgrounds. Any behavior or speech that discriminates or attacks others based on their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic is strictly prohibited. Individuals who engage in such behavior or express right-wing views will be asked to leave the festival immediately, and may be reported to local authorities if necessary. We have zero tolerance for racism, hate, or discrimination of any kind at our festival.

  11. Attendees must follow safety guidelines provided by festival organizers, including guidelines for sun safety and potentially severe weather. Anyone caught violating safety guidelines will be warned and may be asked to leave the festival.
